This window is displayed by clicking on the Wells option in the Wells menu.
It is used to define new wells, before they can be references in manifests and inventory. A BOM can also be created.
This table can be sorted by Well name or Area by clicking on the [A/Z] button
1.
Click "+" to open dialog and add a
new record (click "▲" to open an existing record to edit, and
"-"
to delete a record)
Many of the fields will be filled in with default values copied from the record
that was selected when the + was clicked..
2. You need to enter the new well code and the well name. The code will be used to reference the well in manifests etc.
3. The Active check button is used to indicate which wells appear in the drop downs when a well selection is required. Once a well is completed you would uncheck this box so the drop down has a smaller number of choices.
4. Licence area and company are selected from the dropdown list and must already be defined in the corresponding options.
5. The other parameters are only used in the report for the well itself.
6. The [BOM] button will display the edit screen for defining the drilling sequence for the well and the bill of materials required for each activity.
7. The [Copy] button allows you to copy Selected activities from other wells into the drilling sequence for the current well. All the items in the BOMs for the selected activities will also be copied.
8. The [Acc code} option is used if you change the account code for the well. It will update the changes in manifests etc.
9. You can create a report listing all, current or a subset of the wells
The following dialog is displayed when the [Copy] option is selected.

This form is modal and must be closed before any other form can be accessed.
1. Initially both lists will be blank. Select the source well from the drop down.
2. The activities for the selected well will be displayed in the left list.
3.
Move the activities to be copied to the right list using the
[>] or [>>] buttons or by double clicking.
(see Dual list dialogs in the User guide for more details on these sorts of
dialogs,)
4. Move activities in the selected list up or down, using the red arrow keys, if required.
5. Click OK to process. Activities will be added to the end of the current drilling sequence in the order listed.
It is possible to combine activities from different wells using this option.
Once the drilling sequence has been created in this manner, you can use the [BOM] option to add, delete or edit both the activities and the corresponding BOMs.
