This window is displayed by clicking on the Stock Location option in the Inventory or Shorebases menu
It is used to define locations used in manifests as shorebases and defines links to the Base codes used in the Road manifests
This table can be sorted by Number or Description by clicking on the [A/Z] button
1. Click "+" to open dialog and add a new record (click "▲" to open an existing record to edit, and "-" to delete a record)
2. The location name is entered
3. If the location is a shore base, tick the checkbox
4. For base locations only, you can turn on inventory tracking.
5. For base locations again, you can indicate the associated base code.
6. [Show used] displays a report showing the manifests and road manifests involving this location.
7. [Replace in manifests] will replace the location value with the corresponding replacement value (is defined) for the current location or all locations, depending on the check box value.
Base codes used in Road manifests need to link to the base locations used in road manifests in order for inventory tracking and audit reports to work. Unfortunately when these databases were originally set up different criteria were used in the two manifest tables to maintain compatibility with the data types used for wells in manifests and suppliers in road manifests.
If the inventory flag is turned on, only items already in the base inventory can be added to outgoing manifests or road manifests.
