This form defined the directories used by DIPS to store its files.
1. The main data directory is the location of the DIPS program. This has a number of standard subdirectories.
a. The DATA subdirectory which holds the current database tables
b. Each remote site has its own subdirectory as defined in the Sites table, which in turn has subdirectories
i) IMPORT – Data imported from that remote site
ii) EXPORT – data to export to the remote site
iii) DATA – a snap shot of the entire database from the remote site
2. Image directory – holds images and PDF files for items in the materials catalogue.
3. Update directory – the location where DIPS updates are saved. These are downloaded as ZIP file from the web site. In citrix systems this needs to by a drive, other then C: that can be accessed from Citrix.
4. Main Back up directory – This is the parent for the daily back up subdirectories, which have 3 character names from the day of the week they were created, eg MON, TUE.
5. Data Transfer directory – for local systems this is usually just the main data directory. However, on Citrix, you may not be able to access the import and export zip files if they are on the Citrix server. This allows you to specify a different location for transfers.
