Each edit form has options to create reports. The common
practice would be to preview it on screen, then if all is as expected print it
from there. You can also save to a file. However you can also print a report without
preview or export to a text file from the edit screen.
When a report icon is clicked, there may be several
different reports available, or perhaps some additional parameters such as sort
order, grouping criteria or filter parameters required, so one or more dialogs
may appear before the report screen is displayed. eg
The report is displayed in the child area and may be in
landscape or portrait orientation.
The toolbar at the top has icons to control zoom, page display
and selection and to print or save the report. There are fields to manually
select the zoom factor or page number. It also displays the current page number
and total number of pages.
The tool bar items that control the report are as follows.

Note that RTF format,
while editable in word, is not as good a duplication of the on screen or
printed report PDF format. The PDF file is not able to be edited but is the
best for for sending a report to a thrird party for printing. |
